Why Disaster Mangement
Disaster management is essential to reduce the devastating impact of natural disasters on vulnerable communities. It helps in providing immediate relief, rebuilding lives, and building resilience for the future. By preparing communities through awareness programs, early warning systems, and training, we ensure that people are better equipped to handle crises. Our disaster management initiatives aim to save lives, restore livelihoods, and create stronger, more resilient communities, ultimately reducing the long-term socio-economic consequences of disasters.
What We do
We have been actively engaged in disaster management for over two decades, providing relief, rehabilitation, and preparedness support. Our efforts include tsunami relief, rebuilding livelihoods, and disaster preparedness programs like Early Warning Systems (EWS) and community-based training. We’ve conducted rescue operations during major cyclones (Ockhi, Gaja) and floods, offering vital aid and psycho-social support. Our focus on community resilience empowers local populations to manage future disasters effectively.
